Insprie

A focused portfolio. Active involvement.

Insprie works with a small number of consumer businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the United States where our capital, experience and direct involvement can materially change the outcome. We are actively seeking investments, operating partnerships and transformation engagements.

Operating leadership

Executive, general management and interim roles across consumer businesses through scale-up, restructure and transition.

Governance and transactions

Board and directorship roles, capital raising, acquisitions and shareholder support in private consumer businesses.

International market entry

Regulatory readiness, distribution, retail listings and supply chain development in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and selected Asian markets.

Evidence

Situation notes.

Client and portfolio names are withheld while confidentiality applies. These notes describe the shape of the work: the situation we found, what we did, and the position the business was left in.

Situation note 01

Personal care, New Zealand

Situation
A founder-led brand with strong demand but deteriorating gross margin, inventory held across too many lines and a supply chain that could not support its retail commitments.
What we did
Rationalised the range, renegotiated key supply terms, rebuilt demand planning and introduced weekly commercial reporting the board could act on.
Where it landed
Margin recovered, working capital released from slow-moving stock, and the business able to hold its retail listings without discounting.

Situation note 02

Sustainable consumer products, Australasia

Situation
A business preparing for international expansion with no clear view of unit economics by channel, and leadership gaps in finance and operations.
What we did
Established channel-level margin reporting, prioritised two markets over five, and put interim operating leadership in place while permanent appointments were made.
Where it landed
A deliberate, margin-led market entry replaced an opportunistic one, with a permanent leadership team in place at handover.

Discuss an opportunity

Bring us an opportunity.

If you are a founder, shareholder, board member, adviser or investor with an opportunity that fits these criteria, we would like to hear about it.
